High Museum Atlanta Wine Auction
- March 28 - March 31 | A benefit for the High Museum of Art.
A Stunning Collection of Estate Wines from Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars The Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars auction lot, featured on the Silent Auction this year, sold for $1,300.
Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars, a Napa Valley First Growth, presents this cellar-worthy collection of our iconic Cabernet Sauvignon wines in Magnums (2007 CASK 23, S.L.V. and FAY Estate Cabernet Sauvignon). Stag's Leap Wine Cellars first brought international recognition to California winemaking and the Napa Valley when the 1973 S.L.V. Cabernet Sauvignon won the now famous 1976 Paris Tasting, besting some of the most celebrated wines of Bordeaux. Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars’ estate-grown Cabernet Sauvignons—CASK 23, S.L.V. and FAY — are among the most highly prized and sought after Cabernet Sauvignons worldwide.
The lucky winner of this lot will also receive a copy of the book, Judgment of Paris. Author George Taber, a Time magazine reporter and the only member of the press to attend the dramatic tasting that transformed the wine industry, writes about this historic event and the colorful personalities involved.
