Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars

Auction Napa Valley

Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars welcomed a lucky group of 50 bidders to “The Ultimate Estate Experience” on Friday, May 31st. The event was a progressive dinner where attendees enjoyed food and wine in four different settings on the stunning Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars property.

Celebrated Chef Mark Dommen of San Francisco created signature dishes to complement the ARCADIA VINEYARD Chardonnay and the 1998 and 2008 S.L.V. Estate Cabernet Sauvignon. Winemaker Nicki Pruss and General Manager Steve Spadarotto mingled with the attendees throughout the evening’s feast.

A Stunning Collection of Etched 3-Liter Cabernet Sauvignons from Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars + VIP Tasting for six people

Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars, a Napa Valley First Growth, presents this cellar-worthy collection of iconic Cabernet Sauvignon wines. Stag's Leap Wine Cellars first brought international recognition to California winemaking and the Napa Valley when the 1973 S.L.V. Cabernet Sauvignon won the now famous 1976 Paris Tasting, besting some of the most celebrated wines of Bordeaux. Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars’ estate-grown Cabernet Sauvignons—CASK 23, S.L.V. and FAY — are among the most highly prized and sought after Cabernet Sauvignons worldwide.

All of our 2008 Cabernet Sauvignons are remarkably fruit-forward and accessible in their youth, yet remain true to Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars house style: refined, elegant and suggesting a long life in the cellar.

In addition to receiving this special collection of etched 3L bottles, the lucky winner of this lot will enjoy a VIP tasting for six people at Stag’s Leap Cellars with Winemaker Nicki Pruss. Each guest will also receive a copy of the book, Judgment of Paris. Author George Taber, a Time magazine reporter and the only member of the press to attend the dramatic tasting that transformed the wine industry, writes about this historic event and all of the colorful personalities involved.
