Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars Live Auction Lot Sold for $130K At Auction Napa Valley
The Stag's Leap Wine Cellars live auction lot (Lot 38) sold for an incredible $130,000 at Auction Napa Valley, making it one of the Top 10 live lots at the Napa Valley Vintner’s annual community fundraiser. The 31st Annual Auction Napa Valley, known as “The American Wine Classic,” took place June 4th on the lawn at Meadowood and raised $7.3 million for local charities.
The “Giants Among Us” live auction lot, which was inspired by the outstanding 2010 World Series Win by the San Francisco Giants, gave one lucky bidder the chance to add a complete vertical of 1990’s CASK 23 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon in 9 Liter bottles to their cellar collection and to catch 9 innings of action from the 2010 World Series Champions from a suite at a 2011 season home game.
Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars Winemaker Nicki Pruss attended the live auction and congratulated the winning bidder. “A collection of this magnitude has never before been offered by Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars,” said Nicki Pruss. “I’m thrilled that our auction lot helped raise critical dollars for the Napa community.”
