Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars
Naples Winter Wine Festival
Rare 5-Liter Vertical of Stag's Leap Wine Cellars S.L.V. Cabernet Sauvignon with VIP Tour and Tasting for 4 at the Winery.
Stag's Leap Wine Cellars has a long, distinguished wine reputation and is considered a Napa Valley first-growth. We are proud of our heritage, historic vineyards and the high quality of our estate-grown Cabernet Sauvignons—CASK 23, S.L.V. and FAY. Our wines are crafted to express classic elegance, structure and ageability and to reflect the place in which they are grown.
Planted in 1970, S.L.V. achieved international fame when the 1973 Cabernet Sauvignon (from three-year-old vines) produced a wine that bested some of the most renowned wines of Bordeaux in a 1976 blind tasting in Paris now known as the “Judgment of Paris.” A bottle of this historic wine proudly resides in the permanent collection of the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History.
Today, S.L.V. continues to produce Cabernet Sauvignons that are quintessentially complex and balanced, with vibrant fruit, intense spice, firm structure, food-enhancing natural acidity and the promise of long-term cellaring.
Tonight's lucky winning bidder will take home this rare 5-Liter vertical of the 1982, 1983 and 1984 S.L.V. estate-grown Cabernet Sauvignon. These wines were tasted recently by Winemaker Nicki Pruss and are amazingly alive, with the classic structure and velvety tannins that are the winery’s hallmark. A dream prize for the discerning wine collector!
