The
Cellarius Kitchen, a beautiful and exciting new addition to Stag's
Leap Wine Cellars, has just been completed. Lending inspiration
to the name and enhancing this amazing space are two 17th century
watercolors of the solar system created by the Dutch-German mathematician
and cosmographer Andreas Cellarius.
The Cellarius Kitchen will be used to host food and wine pairing
events as well as cooking demonstrations inviting interaction
between the chef and guests. It will also serve as a wonderful
environment for a lunch or dinner with a dining room that can
comfortably accommodate 32 people. The dining room boasts a dance
floor created with reclaimed maple from a historic barn and windows
that overlook our cellar. Outside on our veranda, you can appreciate
the gorgeous landscapes surrounding you and enjoy the aroma of
fresh herbs that adorn each window.
Stag's Leap Wine Cellars hosted its first event in The Cellarius
Kitchen on March 14th welcoming the Second Annual Legends of
Wine Tribute benefiting the James Beard Foundation. Warren Winiarski,
Founder and Owner of Stag's Leap Wine Cellars, was the Guest
of Honor. This wine tasting and luncheon featured the highly
acclaimed 1973 S.L.V. Cabernet Sauvignon and cuisine prepared
by Host Chef Ken Frank of La Toque located in Rutherford, California.
