Every summer the Winiarski clan retreats to Coon's Franklin Lodge in rural Arbor Vitae, WI. Aside from holding a tasting every week for the lodge's other guests, Warren and Barbara Winiarski take a vacation from the wine business and go fishing. Barbara likes to fish for walleye, while Warren will spend all day casting for muskellunge, one of the most challenging freshwater gamefish. Last year Warren caught a 50-inch muskie that is now mounted in the lodge living room. This summer he reeled in a 51-incher but let it go after recording the catch on film. The lodge's dining room displays a 54-inch muskie caught by one of Al Capone's henchmen back when the area was a haven for bootleggers. Warren says he won't mount another muskie until he captures one at least as long as the Prohibition-era fish.

Warren and his biggest muskie—so far.
